The Winds of change

Hello everyone; It's been...awhile since I last wrote on here. Last time I was writing about Christmas. Oh boy, I didn't realize that much time had passed.  All I can say about my absence is, change.

For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven.
                                                                                                                      Ecclesiastes 3:1

The first big change was my oldest sister met this great guy last year in February. It was clear that God brought them together. He proposed in the fall and they were just married over the summer!
I was surprised about how much peace I had about my sister dating this man. When she got engaged, that's when jealousy reared it's ugly head. To be married and have children is one of my greatest dreams. To see my sister reaching that dream before me was hard in so many ways. Jesus ultimately pointed out some things I had to face and submit to Him and turn away from (like the jealousy) the sin that was revealed in that time. Whew! Finally when the big day came I was genuinely full of joy and peace to see my sister walk down the aisle in her beautiful white dress, seeing her as the blushing bride. My other two sisters and I often talked about being married and what we dream of regarding our future husbands and what our wedding day could be like. My sister's wedding is a day I will cherish for the rest of my life. God changing my heart came through that big change.

Before my sister got married our house in SC sold! We had been waiting for three-and-a-half-years in a rental home for our southern home to sell. After about a month of looking for a house to buy, God brought us to a beautiful home that is looking over farmland and we can see the Puget Sound, Mt. Baker and the Canadian mountains! God has blessed us beyond what I  have imagined. Even after six months of living here, I'm still thanking God for this gift.

Another change is that I have published my first graphic novel on Oct 1st!! I have been working on that story for four years. I thoroughly enjoyed working on it but many times I was so close to throwing in the towel. If it weren't for the reminder of how patient God is with me and giving me the determination and endurance, I would not have made it very far. My family has encouraged me greatly as well. If you want to check it out and buy a copy it's available on Amazon (kindle and paperback). Beauty and the Beast

The last change is, just recently my grandparents on my Dad's side are both experiencing their health declining and my Grandma on my Mom's side is going through some health problems as well. It's a shock and a reality that life here on earth doesn't last forever. My family and I are cherishing them more during this season. Even in this we all see God's hand of grace and mercy.

In closing, I'm not sure when I'll write again or even if I'll write again in this blog. I'm thankful for the time God gave me during that season in my life; to share my thoughts with you, challenge you and share with you what God has taught me. Thank you for reading!
