How can we be ourselves in such a twisted, cruel world?
Therefore since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 5:1
If you accept Jesus, (or if you already have,) He will give you peace to feel free to be yourself! Of course when you're being yourself you will still have rough times. Read Romans 5:3-5 carefully. It's through the hard times that your character is built. Think of rocks that go through terrible storms or even rocks in caves going through a process of water constantly dripping on them. Or even rocks that are worn away by the wind and rain. Those are the most beautiful and exquisite kind.
I guarantee you will have hard times. The thing is, will you choose to seek God through it and let Him shape your character, or will you choose to take it on yourself and worry and fret? So; be yourself through the good and bad times because, that's the thing that will last.
That peace is the most extraordinary thing! Thank you for encouraging us to embrace the way God made us. He knows what He's doing and we can trust Him!
