Long time no see

Hello everyone. It's been so long.  In the last post I told you about me and my family moving.  We're in Washington State now after much adventure and some difficulty.

While driving across the country we barely had enough money to get food and gas for each day, not to mention  lodging.   The crazy thing is most the time when we were completely depleted it was when we were in the middle of nowhere! And I actually felt peace and I trusted that God would see us through.  Every single time, at the last second, He always, and I mean ALWAYS, provided.

Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?
                                         Matthew 6:25

While traveling, I enjoyed looking out the window at the changing landscape and worshiping God throughout the day while seeing His amazing creation.

Once reaching WA I did expect things to be different.  I thought we would be able to move right into a rental home and start unpacking. No, no. Far from it. For about two weeks we lived in and out of motels. We were homeless!!!  That was the first time I was faced with the fear of not knowing where you're going to live from day to day. It didn't make it any easier that we had six animals and six people. Finding an apartment or rental home was next to impossible. Finally we sat down and prayed together asking God how we should proceed. He clearly told us that me and two of my sisters were to go live with our grandma and take our four cats and live with her for however long it took. We were so thankful that she is just two hours away from us.

After the first week God provided a house!! It was perfect. We have an amazing view of Mt. Baker (the picture above). It has enough space for all of us.

For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks the door will be opened.
                         Matthew 7:8

The weeks following that has been filled with joy, sorrow and loss.  But throughout every circumstance, I have learned and I'm still learning that God is always there to provide, protect, love, watch over, comfort and more.  My family and I took a huge leap of faith leaving everything we know and love behind to follow Jesus on a wild adventure.

Thank you to those who were praying for us.
