Have you ever heard of Mat Kearney?
About two years ago my sister started getting into this artist. I was surprised that I've heard some of his music on T.V. shows. I listened to his music with my sister and I was pulled in.
Then my sister showed me this song of his called "Ships in the night." That song is about Mat and his wife. It's not a lovey dovey song of how much he loves his wife. It's about the hard times when you feel distant and far apart. That gave me a perspective about marriage. Even though I saw my parents fight and seem distant to each other at times, I thought I wouldn't be like that. God used that song to break my pride and show me that it will happen when I get married, and that's okay. We'll be able to work through it.
