The verse for today comes from Colossians 3:20.
"Children obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord."
It's so hard when your realize you can take care of yourself and you don't need your parents, but you still live in their house. The problem is you still do need your parents if your still living in their house. TV shows and movies have twisted Americans view on parents as the slow dumb un-fun old people that don't have a life.
God is so happy and proud when we obey what are moms and dads ask of us. As single ladies we need to stand up and listen to what God says about obeying our parents! They want what's best of us even if we think it's stupid. They are the ones who will take care of us until we get married, so enjoy the years you have with them because you don't know how long you have.
